About The Principal

The Principal, Dr Mindy Thorpe (PhD, Grad Dip Mgt, B.Bus), has over 25 years of experience in occupational health and safety, environmental and quality management.

Mindy Thorpe:
• Develops occupational health and safety, quality assurance and environmental management systems for clients who require independent certification of their management systems to Australian and International Standards.
• Is an accredited Lead OHS Auditor with RABQSA.
• Is an accredited provider Prequalified Contractor Auditor (PQC) with the Qld Government.
• Provides low voltage switchboard certification and re-certification to the electrical industry.
• Is qualified to prepare and conduct audits of Traffic Management Plans.
• Has lectured in the disciplines of government, business and social sciences.
• Lectures undergraduate and postgraduate Workplace Health and Safety Law, Policy and Management in Queensland.
• Has authored several undergraduate and postgraduate courses for National and International Curriculum on occupational health and safety.
• Conducts Compliance Audits, Risk Assessments, Incident Investigation and Training to assist clients to improve and maintain the highest standards in workplace health and safety.
• Provides in-house customised training and awareness sessions on ‘occupational health and safety’, quality assurance, environmental management and ‘chain of responsibility’ to all levels of the organisation.
• Regularly attends business conferences and seminars as an invited guest speaker on duty of care, chain of responsibility and risk management.
• Is active in research into workplace health and safety issues.

Dr Thorpe has developed integrated management systems that incorporate occupational health and safety, environmental and quality management that have been verified by independent audit for clients wishing to achieve recognition against the Australian and International Standards.
